UHS PGET Exam Pattern: Paper I, Paper II and How the 200 MCQs Are Split
UHS PGET is two papers of 100 single-best-answer MCQs, two hours each. How Paper I (basic sciences) and Paper II (specialty) work for MBBS and BDS graduates.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore Postgraduate Entrance Test is mandatory for induction into Level III postgraduate programmes (MD, MS, MDS and FCPS) under the Central Induction Policy.
Format
- Two papers, each of 100 single-best-answer MCQs and 100 marks.
- Two hours for each paper.
- Paper I assesses the basic medical sciences taught in undergraduate education; MBBS and BDS graduates sit separate Paper I examinations.
- Paper II is the specialty paper for the discipline you apply to.
Older formats
Earlier cycles (2018 and 2019) used a single 100-MCQ paper with English, IT, research-methodology and analytical sections. Guides based on those years do not describe the current test.
How to prepare
Treat the two papers as separate projects. Paper I rewards broad, repeated revision of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology and pharmacology; Paper II rewards depth in your specialty. Every HighYield UHS PGET bank carries both. Confirm dates, fees and the pass percentile in the current UHS notification.
