Privacy Policy

HighYield ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website highyield.pk, from G-10 Markaz, Islamabad, Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

1. Information we collect

Account information. You can browse highyield.pk and answer our free sample questions without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your Google profile picture URL

We never receive your Google password.

Study activity. When you answer questions, we record which questions you attempted, your answers, time spent, bookmarks, and completed quiz sessions.

  • If you are not signed in, or you are using a free sample, this stays in your own browser's local storage and is not sent to our servers.
  • If you are signed in and have purchased that question bank, we also store this activity on our servers, so your progress and analytics survive clearing your browser or switching device.

Purchase information. We store a record of what you bought, which plan, when it was activated and when it expires. If you tell us about a bank or wallet transfer, we store the details you enter on that form (plan, payment method, transaction reference or sender name, and any note) so we can match it to the payment. We never see or store your card details — card payments are handled entirely by our payment processor.

Usage and device data. Standard analytics such as pages viewed, session duration, approximate location (country/city level), device type and referring site.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the service, identify your account, and unlock what you have purchased
  • To save and sync your study progress and analytics
  • To process and verify payments, and to provide support
  • To send service messages about your account or purchase
  • To send study or marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email
  • To understand how the site is used and to improve it
  • To measure and improve our advertising

3. Advertising and measurement

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising and to reach people who have visited our site. If you are signed in, the Pixel's Advanced Matching feature sends Meta a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of your email address and name, along with an internal account identifier, so Meta can match the visit to a Meta account. Meta receives the hashed values, not the plain text.

We also send Meta a server-side record of completed purchases for the same purpose. You can control how Meta uses this in your Meta ad preferences, and you can block the Pixel with most ad-blocking or tracking-protection tools without affecting your use of the site.

4. Data storage and security

Account, purchase and (for purchased question banks) study data are stored with Supabase, using encryption in transit and at rest. Access to our production data is restricted to the site's own server-side code and its administrators.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not store card details anywhere, which removes the most sensitive category of data from our systems entirely.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the platform, each under their own privacy policy:

  • Google — sign-in (OAuth) and Google Analytics
  • Supabase — database and file storage
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Whop — card payment processing and checkout
  • Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement, as described above
  • Resend — sending account and marketing emails
  • Ahrefs Analytics — privacy-focused traffic analytics

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use:

  • Essential cookies — to keep you signed in. The site cannot work without these.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics and Ahrefs, to understand aggregate usage.
  • Advertising cookies — the Meta Pixel, as described in section 3.

Your browser's local storage is also used to hold your study progress on your own device. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings, or from the Account page.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only where we need to for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution reasons. Study activity is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Stop sending you marketing emails (or use the unsubscribe link in any of them)

Email support@highyield.pk and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your access to anything you have purchased, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund — see our Refund Policy.

9. Children's privacy

HighYield is intended for students preparing for post-secondary and professional examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our service providers listed in section 5 operate internationally, so your information may be processed on servers outside Pakistan. We only use established providers that apply recognised safeguards to that data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the platform after that date means you accept the revised policy.
