OET Exam Fee and Booking from Pakistan: What to Check Before You Pay
How OET fees work for doctors in Pakistan, what changes the price, the booking steps for OET Medicine on oet.com, and how to find a venue or take OET@Home.

If you are a doctor in Pakistan planning to work in the UK, Australia or another English-speaking country, the OET is one of the tests your regulator is likely to accept. Before you book, it helps to understand how the fee is set and what to check, because the price you pay depends on the test type, the sub-tests you book and where you sit it.
Who sets the OET fee?
OET fees are set by the test owner and its local partners, not by the regulators or by prep providers. The amount you see at checkout on the official booking site is the one that counts. Third-party websites often quote a single international reference price in Australian dollars, but these figures differ between sources and change over time, so treat them as a rough guide only and confirm the price in your own booking.
What changes the price
- Test type: paper-based at a venue, computer-based at a venue, or OET@Home for eligible candidates. Not every type is offered on every date or in every city.
- Which sub-tests you book: a full four-skill booking costs more than re-booking a single sub-test, and re-booking rules for individual sub-tests can differ by test type.
- Venue and local rules: taxes, currency and payment methods can vary by country and booking route.
How to book OET Medicine, step by step
- Create an account on the official OET website and choose Medicine as your profession.
- Pick the test type available to you (paper, computer or OET@Home).
- Choose a date and venue. Seats on popular dates fill quickly, so look several weeks ahead.
- Check the total price shown for your booking, then pay.
- Save your confirmation and read the venue or at-home instructions before test day.
Test venues in Pakistan
The OET was reported in 2019 to have opened its first venue in Pakistan, in Islamabad, run by a local partner. Venue lists change, so use the venue search on the official site for the current options near you. If there is no venue in your city or the dates do not suit you, check whether you are eligible for OET@Home, which needs a stable internet connection, a suitable device and a quiet room.
Before you pay: confirm what your regulator needs
The score you need depends on your regulator or employer, and some set rules about how many sittings you may combine and how long a result stays valid. Check the current requirement of the body you are applying to first, then book. Our guide to OET grade B and which regulators ask for it explains the scoring.
