SZABMU MD / MS Part-I Mock Tests: Blueprint, Timing & How to Use Them

How blueprint-weighted SZABMU mock tests are built, how to time a 100-MCQ paper and a simple way to review each attempt for the biggest score gain.

A mock test only helps if it looks like the real paper. HighYield's SZABMU mocks are assembled from the official topic weightage, so a Paper I mock has 30 anatomy, 30 physiology, 20 pathology, 10 biochemistry and 10 pharmacology questions, and a Paper II mock follows the medicine or surgery blueprint. Here is how to use them.

What Is Available

  • Two Paper I mocks in each bank, common basic sciences, 100 MCQs each.
  • Two Paper II mocks in each bank: applied medicine in the SZABMU MD mock tests, applied surgery in the SZABMU MS mock tests.
  • Every mock is 100 MCQs in 180 minutes.
  • All four mocks are included with the QBank.

How to Take a Mock

  1. Sit it in one go, with the timer, no phone and no notes.
  2. Aim for roughly 1.5 minutes per question and leave 30 minutes for the unsure ones.
  3. Mark questions you guessed so you can separate luck from knowledge when you review.

How to Review It

Review takes longer than the attempt. Sort every miss into one of three bins: did not know (a content gap), knew but misread (a technique gap) and narrowed to two and chose wrong (a precision gap). Content gaps go on your revision list; technique gaps are fixed by reading the last line of the stem first. Re-attempt the topic from the SZABMU MD QBank or SZABMU MS QBank a few days later, as that is when forgetting shows.

Reading Your Result by Topic

Because each mock follows the weightage, a low score in a topic tells you where marks are leaking relative to the real paper. A weak result in physiology or anatomy in Paper I is the costliest, as they are 60 marks together. For the full tables see the pattern and weightage guide, and for a plan that builds up to mocks, the study plan.
