The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) publishes its examination schedule on the CPSP ePortal. For 2027 it lists four FCPS Part 1 sittings, and the paper is the same for every specialty. This page puts the dates, the application steps and your specialty's preparation guide in one place.

The most recent Part 1 sitting was on 6 October 2026. These dates come from the CPSP examination schedule. CPSP can change them, so confirm your own sitting and your application deadline on the CPSP ePortal. You can also see them next to other exams on the exam calendar.

Which sitting should you aim for?

Work backwards from the date. Most candidates need ten to twelve weeks of steady practice, and your application has to be in before the deadline CPSP sets for that sitting, which is announced on the ePortal. If you are starting now, the April and July 2027 sittings give you a realistic runway. How to apply for FCPS Part 1

Log in to (or create) your account on the CPSP ePortal.
Check that you meet the eligibility conditions for Part 1 in your specialty.
Open the examination form for the sitting you want and complete it before the deadline shown for that session.
Pay the examination fee as instructed on the ePortal and keep the confirmation.
Download your roll number slip when CPSP releases it, and check your centre.

FCPS Part 1 dates: common questions

How many times a year is FCPS Part 1 held?

The 2027 CPSP schedule lists four sittings: January, April, July and October.

Are the dates different for each specialty?

No. The Part 1 paper is held on the same date for all specialties, so Medicine, Surgery, Gynae and Obs, Dentistry and the others sit on the same days.

On the CPSP ePortal at eportal.cpsp.edu.pk. Treat any third-party page, including this one, as a convenience and confirm there.
