SZABMU MD / MS / MDS — Eligibility & Admission Process
The SZABMU road map for postgraduate residents sets a clear sequence: pass Part-I, then apply online for the Part-II residency programme when the university advertises it. This page summarises the eligibility criteria and admission steps as stated in that document.
Eligibility criteria for MD / MS / MDS
- An MBBS / BDS or equivalent degree registered with PMC.
- One year of house job from a PMC-recognised institution.
- Permanent valid registration with PMC.
- A pass in MD / MS / MDS Part-I conducted by SZAB Medical University.
- Foreign candidates need valid registration with the medical council of their country of origin.
Admission process
- 1Sit and pass Part-IPart-I dates are advertised in the national press and on the SZABMU website. The result is valid for two years.
- 2Apply onlineFill in the admission form online on the SZABMU admissions portal after the university advertises the residency programme.
- 3Choose your degree level and specialtiesPick MD, MS or MDS; once chosen you can apply to a maximum of two specialties.
- 4Pay the processing feeThe application processing fee is Rs 2,000 for each specialty, paid by bank draft or pay order in favour of the university. It is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
- 5Check your informationThe university may cancel an application with incorrect information without refund of the fee.

Do I need a house job to apply for MD or MS at SZABMU?+
