HighYield vs MySMLE and Other SMLE Question Banks: What to Know
MySMLE, SMLEREVISE, GulfMedExams and CanadaQBank all offer SMLE practice. Here is how they compare with HighYield and how to choose.

SMLE candidates have more question banks to choose from than ever. Remember the key fact first: SCFHS does not publish past papers, so every bank is practice material written to resemble the exam, as we explain in our guide to SMLE past papers.
How we compared: details come from each product’s own website and app listings, checked in October 2026. Figures are the providers’ own claims and can change at any time. We are a competitor, so check each site yourself before you decide.

Questions to Ask Any SMLE Bank
- Does it match the blueprint? The SMLE is roughly 30% Internal Medicine, 25% Ob/Gyn, 25% Paediatrics and 20% Surgery, so a bank should cover all four in proportion. See our SMLE guide.
- Are the explanations good? Open ten questions you know well and read the rationale.
- Where do the questions come from? Be wary of sets advertised as real or leaked exam questions. SCFHS prohibits distributing exam content, and recalls go out of date.
- Can you simulate a full exam? The SMLE is 300 questions, so practise timed blocks.
Why Accuracy Matters More Than Question Count
Headline question counts are self-reported, and a bigger number says nothing about whether the answers are right or the explanations teach anything. A single wrong answer key can cost you marks on exam day, and a very low price is not evidence of a better bank. Before you pay for any platform, open a few questions on topics you know well, check the answers against a textbook, and read the explanations. Our banks are built around that standard: original questions, checked answers and a written explanation for every question.
The HighYield Approach
Our SMLE bank is built on original clinical vignettes with a written explanation for every question. Paid access is a one-time, non-renewing purchase priced in PKR (PKR 2,999 for 1 month, 6,999 for 3 months, 9,999 for 6 months at the time of writing), and you can try 20 questions first without an account.
