FPSC Online Apply: Step-by-Step Guide to Submit Your Application (2026)

A complete step-by-step guide to applying online for FPSC jobs in 2026. How to create an account, fill the form, upload documents, and pay the fee.

All FPSC job applications are now submitted online through the official FPSC website. If this is your first time applying, the process can feel confusing — but it is actually straightforward once you know the steps. This guide walks you through the entire FPSC online application process for 2026.

Before You Start: Documents You Need

Gather these documents before starting your application — you will need to upload scanned copies:

  • CNIC (Computerised National Identity Card): Front and back scan
  • Passport-size photograph: Recent, with white background, in JPEG format (under 1 MB)
  • Educational certificates: Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's, Master's (as required by the post)
  • Domicile certificate: Scanned copy
  • Experience certificates: If the position requires work experience
  • Departmental NOC: If you are already a government servant

Tip: Scan all documents in advance and save them in a single folder on your computer. Ensure each file is under 1 MB and in JPEG or PDF format as specified.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Step 1: Visit the Official FPSC Website

Go to www.fpsc.gov.pk and click on the "Online Application" or "Apply Online" link. Make sure you are on the official website — check for the .gov.pk domain.

Step 2: Create an Account (First-Time Applicants)

If you are applying for the first time, you need to create an account:

  • Click "New User / Register"
  • Enter your CNIC number, name, email address, and mobile number
  • Create a password (save it securely — you will need it for future applications and to check results)
  • Verify your email address through the confirmation link sent to your inbox

Step 3: Log In and Select the Position

Log in with your CNIC and password. You will see a list of currently open positions from the latest consolidated advertisement. Click on the position you want to apply for to see its eligibility criteria, age limit, and required qualifications.

Step 4: Fill in the Application Form

The online form asks for:

  • Personal information: Name, father's name, date of birth, CNIC, domicile, religion, gender
  • Contact details: Address, phone number, email
  • Educational qualifications: All degrees from Matric onwards with marks, year of passing, and institution name
  • Experience: Employment history if applicable
  • Preference of posting: Some positions allow you to indicate preferred city or region

Important: Double-check every field before submitting. Incorrect information (especially CNIC, date of birth, or educational details) can lead to application rejection. Your name must match your CNIC exactly.

Step 5: Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of all required documents as specified. Follow the file size and format requirements strictly — oversized or wrong-format files will be rejected by the system.

Step 6: Submit the Application

Review all information one final time, then click "Submit." The system will generate a tracking ID — save this number. You will need it to track your application status and download your challan form.

Step 7: Download and Pay the Challan Form

After submission, download the bank challan form from the website. Take it to any branch of the designated bank (usually National Bank of Pakistan, HBL, or ABL) and pay the application fee. The fee amount varies by position (typically Rs 300–500 for most posts, Rs 200 for CSS).

Deadline: The fee must be paid before the application deadline. Late payments are not accepted.

Step 8: Confirmation

After the bank processes your payment, your application status will update to "Fee Paid" on the FPSC website. Check this within 3–5 working days of payment. If the status does not update, contact FPSC with your challan receipt.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying after the deadline: FPSC deadlines are strict — the online portal closes at midnight on the last date
  • Incorrect CNIC number: Even one wrong digit will cause your application to be rejected
  • Not paying the challan: Submitting the form is not enough — your application is incomplete until the fee is paid
  • Wrong photograph format: Use a recent passport-size photo with white background in the exact dimensions specified
  • Applying for positions you are not eligible for: Read the eligibility criteria carefully — FPSC will reject ineligible applications during screening

After Applying

Once your application is complete and fee is paid:

  • Check the FPSC website regularly for your roll number slip (usually available 1–2 weeks before the test)
  • Start preparing for the screening test — practice MCQs on HighYield's CSS MPT QBank covering General Knowledge, English, Pakistan Affairs, and Current Affairs
  • Save a printed copy of your application form, challan receipt, and roll number slip — bring them to the exam centre
