FCPS Part 2 Plastic Surgery: How to Apply Through the CPSP ePortal

Step-by-step FCPS Part 2 Plastic Surgery application process — training verification, required documents, fees, and deadlines you can't miss.

Applying for FCPS Part 2 Plastic Surgery

All FCPS Part 2 applications, including Plastic Surgery, are submitted through the CPSP ePortal at eportal.cpsp.edu.pk. If you registered for FCPS Part 1 through the ePortal, use the same account.

The Application Process

  1. Log in to the CPSP ePortal using your existing candidate account.
  2. Navigate to the FCPS Part 2 examination section and select Plastic Surgery. The portal displays open sessions and the application window for your specialty.
  3. Verify your training record. The ePortal should show your completed training period. If it isn't up to date, contact your supervisor and CPSP regional office to correct it before the deadline — this is not something to discover at application time.
  4. Complete the application form with your personal details, specialty, preferred examination centre, and training details.
  5. Upload required documents — typically your FCPS Part 1 pass certificate, PMC registration, training completion certificate or supervisor's recommendation, and any Plastic Surgery-specific documentation CPSP requests.
  6. Pay the examination fee online through the portal. Part 2's fee is set independently by CPSP and is higher than Part 1's, reflecting the more complex three-component format — check the current amount on your application form rather than a fixed figure, since CPSP updates fees periodically.
  7. Submit and download your confirmation. Keep your admission slip — you'll need it for both the written paper and the clinical examination.

Deadlines Are Strictly Enforced

The application window typically closes 3-4 weeks before the written paper, and CPSP does not accept late applications. Because the clinical examination follows several weeks after the written paper, missing the window means waiting for the next session — a delay of 5-6 months. Set a calendar reminder for the month before your target window opens.

Common Questions

Can I choose an exam centre different from where I trained?

Yes — you can select your preferred written paper and clinical examination centre independently of your training location, subject to availability.

Can I apply before completing my training period?

No. CPSP checks your training record through the ePortal, and your application won't be approved until the minimum required period shows as complete.

What if I fail?

You can re-attempt. There's a mandatory waiting period between attempts — typically one year for the clinical component.
