Who Can Apply

  • An MBBS degree recognised and registered with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC).
  • A one-year house job at a PM&DC-recognised institution, completed at least one month before the exam date. You can apply while still completing it.
  • Valid PM&DC registration, or your renewal receipt if it's being renewed.
  • A valid CNIC (or passport for overseas candidates) and a recent passport-size photograph.

Foreign graduates: your medical degree must be recognised and registered with your home country's medical council, and equated by PM&DC before you apply.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the CPSP portal at cpsp.edu.pk — the only official application route.
  2. Select your registration type and complete the form using your PM&DC number.
  3. Receive your Form number and fee challan by email.
  4. Pay the examination fee via bank challan, a CPSP regional office, or online card payment. Check the current fee on your challan.
  5. Upload your documents and submit against your Form number.
  6. Download your roll number slip once approved.

Why Psychiatry Is Worth Planning For Early

Psychiatry has historically been a lower-competition FCPS track relative to specialties like Medicine or Surgery, and demand for psychiatrists in Pakistan continues to grow. See our FCPS Psychiatry syllabus and scope guide for the full training pathway once you're through Part 1.
