FCPS Part 1 Pathology Mock Test: Full-Length Practice Papers
How to use full-length FCPS Part 1 Pathology mock tests: the two-paper layout, timing, and how to turn each mock into a revision plan.

A mock test is the closest you can get to the real examination before sitting it: fixed questions, a running clock and no way to look up an answer. For FCPS Part 1 Pathology, HighYield offers four full-length mock papers that follow the two-paper layout of the exam.
What the Mock Tests Contain
| Mock | Paper | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mock 1 | Paper 1: Basic Sciences | 100 | 2 hours |
| Mock 1 | Paper 2: Pathology | 100 | 2 hours |
| Mock 2 | Paper 1: Basic Sciences | 100 | 2 hours |
| Mock 2 | Paper 2: Pathology | 100 | 2 hours |
Paper 1 draws on the shared basic sciences (anatomy, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology and forensic medicine). Paper 2 is drawn from the Pathology bank across general and systemic pathology, haematology, microbiology and immunology. Mock 1 and Mock 2 contain different questions.
How to Use a Mock
- Sit it like the real thing. One sitting, no pausing, no notes.
- Do not stop on a hard question. Mark it, move on and return if time remains.
- Review every wrong and guessed answer with the explanation, and log the underlying topic.
- Turn errors into a plan. If three of your misses are haemolytic anaemias, revise that block before the next mock, not the whole syllabus.
- Space your mocks. Two or three weeks apart is better than back-to-back, since each one needs time to be converted into revision.
When to Start
Take Mock 1 about six to eight weeks before your exam to find your weak subjects, then use subject-wise practice to repair them, and take Mock 2 in the final two weeks as a dress rehearsal.
Mock tests are available to FCPS Part 1 Pathology subscribers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the mock tests the real CPSP papers?
No. They are built from HighYield's question bank to follow the two-paper structure and difficulty, not copied from CPSP's papers.
Do mock questions repeat the practice bank?
Mock questions come from the same bank, so questions you have already practised may appear. Take a mock first, then practise, for the most honest score.
