ETEA Result 2026: How to Check by Name, Roll Number & CNIC — Complete Guide

How to check your ETEA result 2026 online — by name, roll number, or CNIC. What the result shows, when it is announced, and what to do after you see your ETEA test result.

After appearing in any ETEA test — whether for medical/engineering admission or a government job — the first thing you want to know is your result. This guide explains exactly how to find your ETEA result using different methods, when results are typically published, and what to do once you have your score.

When Are ETEA Results Announced?

ETEA results are typically published 2–4 weeks after the test date, depending on the type of test:

  • Academic Entry Tests (Medical/Engineering): Usually within 2–3 weeks
  • Job Recruitment Tests: Usually within 3–4 weeks, sometimes longer depending on the number of applicants

When results are announced, ETEA publishes a notification on www.etea.edu.pk and sends an SMS to the mobile number registered in your application.

How to Check ETEA Result Online — All Methods

Method 1: Check ETEA Result by Roll Number

  1. Go to www.etea.edu.pk
  2. Click on "Results" in the main navigation menu
  3. Select the relevant test from the dropdown (e.g., "Medical Entry Test 2026" or "Department Name Recruitment Test")
  4. Enter your Roll Number (from your roll number slip)
  5. Click "Search" or "Get Result"
  6. Your result, marks, and status will be displayed

Method 2: Check ETEA Result by Name

  1. Go to www.etea.edu.pk → "Results"
  2. Select the test
  3. Choose the "Search by Name" option
  4. Enter your full name exactly as registered (spelling matters — use the same spelling as on your CNIC)
  5. Enter your father's name if prompted (required to distinguish between candidates with the same name)
  6. Click "Search" — your result entry will appear

Tip: If your name search returns no results, try using your CNIC number instead — the name search is case-sensitive on some test portals.

Method 3: Check ETEA Result by CNIC

  1. Go to www.etea.edu.pk → "Results"
  2. Select the test
  3. Choose "Search by CNIC"
  4. Enter your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes (e.g., 1234567890123)
  5. Click "Search"

The CNIC search is typically the most reliable method — it uniquely identifies your record with no spelling ambiguity.

Method 4: Log In to Your ETEA Account

  1. Go to www.etea.edu.pk and log in with your CNIC and password
  2. In your dashboard, go to "My Applications" or "Test Results"
  3. Click on the relevant test to view your result, marks breakdown, and status

This method is most convenient if you have multiple ETEA applications — all your results are in one place.

What Information Does the ETEA Result Show?

A typical ETEA test result page contains:

  • Candidate name and father's name
  • CNIC number and roll number
  • Test name and date
  • Total marks obtained out of the maximum
  • Subject-wise marks (for academic entry tests)
  • Pass/Fail status or "Eligible/Ineligible for merit list"
  • Percentile or rank (shown for some tests)

For job recruitment tests, the result shows your marks and confirms whether you are on the shortlist for the next stage (document verification / interview). The hiring department then publishes a separate merit list.

What to Do After Checking Your ETEA Result

For Academic Entry Tests (Medical/Engineering):

  1. Calculate your aggregate: Use your Matric marks, FSc marks, and ETEA score to calculate your admission aggregate using the formula provided by the respective university (typically Matric 10% + FSc 40% + Entry Test 50%)
  2. Check last year's merit lists on the university/KMU website to see if your aggregate is competitive
  3. Apply for admission through the relevant university portal (KMU for medical; UET Peshawar for engineering) — the admission window usually opens within 1–2 weeks of results
  4. Apply to multiple institutions simultaneously to maximise your options

For Job Recruitment Tests:

  1. Wait for the merit list to be published by the hiring department (usually 2–4 weeks after results)
  2. If you appear in the merit list, you will be called for document verification — gather all original documents (degrees, CNIC, domicile certificate, experience letters)
  3. After document verification, shortlisted candidates are called for an interview (if applicable to that post)
  4. Final appointment is made based on your combined test score and interview performance

ETEA Result Not Showing — What to Do?

If your result is not visible after it has been announced:

  • Double-check your roll number on your roll number slip — even one digit difference will return no result
  • Try searching by CNIC instead of name or roll number
  • The ETEA portal can become slow when results are first published — try again after a few hours
  • If still not found after 24 hours, contact ETEA helpline: available on the "Contact Us" page of www.etea.edu.pk
  • Occasionally, applications that had data discrepancies are not processed — this would have been communicated to you earlier via SMS or email
