FCPS Part 1 Medicine Eligibility: Requirements & How to Apply
Who can sit FCPS Part 1 Medicine and Allied — MBBS registration, house job rules, required documents — and the full CPSP ePortal application process.

FCPS Part 1 – Medicine and Allied is one of the most competitive entry points into CPSP postgraduate training. Before you plan your prep, confirm you actually meet the entry requirements — a missing document costs candidates a whole exam cycle more often than the exam content does.
Who Can Apply
- An MBBS degree recognised and registered with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC).
- A one-year house job at a PM&DC-recognised institution, completed at least one month before the exam date. You can apply while still completing it — you no longer have to wait until it's fully finished.
- Valid PM&DC registration, or your renewal receipt if it's being renewed.
- A valid CNIC (or passport for overseas candidates) and a recent passport-size photograph.
Foreign graduates: your medical degree must be recognised and registered with your home country's medical council, and equated by PM&DC before you apply.
How to Apply
- Go to the CPSP portal at cpsp.edu.pk — the only official application route.
- Select your registration type and complete the form using your PM&DC number.
- Receive your Form number and fee challan by email — this identifies your application throughout.
- Pay the examination fee via bank challan, a CPSP regional office, or online card payment. Check the current fee on your challan — CPSP sets and updates it independently.
- Upload your documents and submit against your Form number.
- Download your roll number slip once your application and payment are verified.
Why Medicine and Allied Specifically Is Competitive
Internal Medicine and its allied subspecialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, and others) form one of CPSP's largest and most sought-after training categories. High applicant volume means there's no margin for an avoidable rejection — get your PM&DC registration, house job certificate, and document scans right the first time.
