ECAT Result 2025 - When It Is Announced, How to Check & UET Lahore Phase II Results

When the ECAT result 2025 will be announced, how to check your result on the UET portal, what UET Lahore ECAT Phase II results mean, and what to do after your result is declared.

How ECAT Results Work

The ECAT result is announced by UET Lahore within 2-4 weeks after the test date. The result is published on the official UET Lahore website (uet.edu.pk) and on the UET admissions portal. Candidates who registered for the ECAT through the online portal can log in with their registration credentials to view their individual result.

The ECAT result shows your raw score out of 400 and your percentage. This percentage is then used to calculate your UET aggregate using the standard formula: (Matric% x 0.10) + (FSc% x 0.50) + (ECAT% x 0.40). Your position on the UET merit list is determined by this aggregate, not by your ECAT score alone.

ECAT Result 2025

The ECAT 2025 test is expected to be held in July 2025, with the ECAT result 2025 announced approximately 2-4 weeks after the test. UET Lahore publishes the result date in advance through its official website and social media channels. Candidates who appeared in ECAT 2025 should check uet.edu.pk directly for the result announcement rather than relying on third-party websites.

After the ECAT result 2025 is declared, UET Lahore and affiliated campuses will process applications and publish the first merit list approximately 2-3 weeks later.

UET Lahore ECAT Phase II Results

UET Lahore conducts its admissions in multiple phases. After the initial merit-based seat allocation, seats that remain vacant or are vacated by candidates who decline their offer are re-allocated in subsequent phases. The UET Lahore ECAT Phase II results refer to the second round of merit list processing, where seats not filled in Phase I are offered to the next eligible candidates on the merit order.

Candidates who did not receive an offer in Phase I should not assume they are out of the running. Remaining on the waiting list and monitoring Phase II and Phase III results has resulted in admission for many candidates whose aggregate was just below the Phase I closing merit. The number of phases and their timing varies year to year depending on seat vacancy.

What to Do After Receiving Your ECAT Result

  1. Calculate your aggregate immediately. Use the formula: (Matric% x 0.10) + (FSc% x 0.50) + (ECAT% x 0.40). This is your position on every UET merit list.
  2. Submit your programme preferences. After the ECAT result, UET opens the preference form where you rank your preferred programmes and campuses. Fill this carefully and in order of genuine preference.
  3. Monitor merit lists actively. The first, second, and third merit lists are published on rolling dates. Check the UET portal daily during the merit list period.
  4. Confirm your seat promptly. If you receive an offer, confirm it within the deadline specified. Failure to confirm results in the seat being released to the next candidate.
  5. Apply to other universities in parallel. While waiting for UET results, submit applications to other ECAT-accepting universities simultaneously to keep all options open.

If You Are Unhappy With Your ECAT Score

A lower-than-expected ECAT score affects your aggregate and merit position, but it does not end your engineering admission prospects. Options include:

  • Applying to UET campuses other than Lahore main, where closing merit is lower for the same programme
  • Applying to other ECAT-accepting universities with lower closing aggregates
  • Re-appearing in the next year's ECAT with stronger preparation, provided you are still within the eligibility criteria
