PMC MDCAT Registration: How to Register on the PMC Portal
Step-by-step guide to registering for MDCAT through the official PMC portal — account creation, form filling, fee payment, and roll number slip.
The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) is the only body authorized to conduct MDCAT and manage its registration. All pre-medical students in Pakistan must register through the official PMC portal. This guide walks you through the entire PMC MDCAT registration process.
About the PMC Portal
PMC manages everything related to MDCAT through its online portal at pmc.gov.pk. The portal handles registration, admit card generation, result declaration, and score verification. It is the only legitimate registration channel — do not use third-party websites or agents.
PMC Account Creation
- Go to the PMC website and click on the MDCAT registration link (available when registration is open).
- Click "Create New Account" or "Register."
- Enter your CNIC number (or B-Form number if under 18).
- Provide a valid email address and mobile number.
- Create a strong password and verify your email through the confirmation link.
- Log in with your credentials to access the MDCAT application form.
Filling the MDCAT Application Form
Once logged in, you will fill out a multi-section form:

Academic Information
- Board of examination (BISE Lahore, BISE Rawalpindi, etc.)
- Roll number and year of FSc
- Marks obtained (or "appearing" if results are pending)

Test Center Selection
- Choose your preferred city from the available list.

- Popular cities (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad) fill up fastest — register early.
Photo Upload
- Upload a recent passport-sized photo.
- White background, clear face, no glasses.
- File format: JPEG/PNG, typically under 200KB.
Fee Payment Through PMC
After submitting the form, PMC generates a payment voucher. Payment options include:
- Bank challan: Print the voucher and pay at a designated bank (HBL, MCB).
- Online banking: Some banks allow direct online payment.
- Mobile wallets: JazzCash and Easypaisa are usually accepted.
After payment, it takes 24–72 hours for PMC to verify and confirm your registration.
Downloading Your Roll Number Slip
Once your registration is confirmed and payment verified:
- Log in to your PMC account.
- Navigate to the MDCAT section.
- Click "Download Roll Number Slip" or "Admit Card."
- Print it on A4 paper. You must bring this to the test center.
Your roll number slip contains your name, photo, CNIC, test center address, date, and reporting time.
Common PMC Portal Issues and Solutions
- Portal crashes during peak hours: Try registering early morning or late night when traffic is low.
- Email verification not received: Check spam/junk folder. If still missing, try a different email address.
- Payment not reflecting: Wait 72 hours. If still unverified, contact PMC helpline with your payment receipt.
- Photo rejected: Use a professional passport photo with white background. Ensure correct file size.
PMC Helpline and Support
If you face any registration issues, contact PMC through:
- PMC official email (listed on pmc.gov.pk)
- PMC helpline number (announced each year)
- PMC social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter
Register through the official PMC portal early, keep your documents ready, and save your login credentials safely. A smooth registration is the first step toward a strong MDCAT performance.
